Jim Ed Bartlett was the son of Alfred and Zona Bartlett. He was born and raised on the home place on Falling Water River. He served in the military during WWII in North Africa. He and Marg owned a farm on highway 70 in Dry Valley across the hill from the home place. Jim Edd worked as a Jailer for the Putnam County Sheriff in the late 1950s but spent most of his life farming.
