Optional Old Dog Fight.  Declare to your scorekeeper and give him $1 at the turn to participate.

SCORING SYSTEM

Each player will receive points based on the Stableford scoring system as follows:

Double bogie or more...........zero points

Bogie.........................................one point

Par.............................................two points

Birdie.........................................four points

Eagle..........................................six points

You will then compare your points to your quota.  Determine your quota by subtracting your handicap from 36 points (18 holes x 2 points for par).

For example, if you are a 15 handicap your quota would be 21 points. If you achieve 25 points you would be +4 against your quota

A handicap of 36 is the maximum that can be used in this game.

It doesn’t matter whether the team has 2, 3, or 4 players with this system.  Simply add the individual handicap-adjusted scores for the team handicap-adjusted score.

CUMMINS GOOD GUYS GOLF INVITATIONAL 2004 RULES

The Handicap Committee will calculate your quota daily.  Your quota will be adjusted up 25% of your last score if your last score is above your quota.  It will be adjusted down 50% of your score if your last score was under your quota.   All adjustments are rounded to the nearest whole number.

For  example, if your last score was -4 and your quota was 16 your new quota would be 14.  If your last score was +5 and your quota was 16 your new quota would be 17.

Monday quotas will be based on Good Guy scores on file unless a player has a current USGA/GHIN handicap card that justifies changing the quota.

The ball may be moved up to six inches anywhere on the course with the exception of when on the green or when in a hazard.   You must stay in the same cut of grass.  Otherwise, the USGA rules of golf apply.

Each foursome (or threesome) will submit a signed and attested scorecards to the Golf Chairman at the conclusion of each round.  The scorecard should contain Stableford points for each player with an X indicated on holes where no points are attained.

Individual, team, and closest-to-the-pin payments will be  awarded.  Ties will be broken with score card play-offs starting with the number one handicap hole followed by the number two handicap hole, etc.

The “Old Dog Fight” is a chance for each player who has a poor front nine to recover. It is simply the improvement of the back side over the front side. Winner takes all of the purse. Players commit to entry at the turn by telling his team scorer that he is in and antes up his dollar to the scorer at that point.   Scorers will turn in the “Old Dog Fight” entry fee when the score card is turned in.  Scoring will be by the Stableford system.

A daily log of official dollar winnings will be kept by the Golf Chairman.

The Cummins Good Guys trophy will be awarded to the overall “official prize money winner”.  Old Dog Fight and team winnings are included.

Side wagers are encouraged for all events but will not count toward the trophy.
