Clara won a Model A Ford roadster at a church raffle when her younger brother, Lawrence Feldhaus, was just old enough to drive.
He took it for a spin and ended up totaling the car in the front yard of one of the Catholic church parishoners who
lived on the old Florence Road close to Raven Bluff. As far as I know, Clara never owned another car.
Clara followed Mary to Nashville and worked her entire life as a private care LPN nurse at St. Thomas hospital. Clara
was working there when my wife, Janice, worked there as a Dietitian about 1962. She was well liked and in constant
demand. She lived in various apartments in some of the magnificant old houses near the hospital.
Clara was a frequent visitor to Lawrenceburg as I was growing up.
After she retired, she moved into a Catholic retirement home near the hospital. She pased away there and was buried
at the family plat in Lawrenceburg.
